A typical visit..
A typical visit from The Battle of Britain Experience would involve arriving at 8am at your school grounds, and then removing the Spitfire from the delivery trailer. The aircraft would be positioned, in an area approximately 15m square, as indicated by you.
Once in position the aircraft would be cordoned off with cones and ropes and guarded so as not to have any unwelcome guests sitting in the cockpit when no one was looking. During assembly or History classes we would offer a video presentation of a program made by BBC South featuring the Battle of Britain. This program was made to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain in 2010 and includes interviews with pilots who flew in these battles. Later in the day this may also give your Art department an opportunity to paint or sketch a truly memorable day for the school in having such an unusual visitor, therefore getting the kids creatively involved.
